WHAT IS CALCULUS?

To the two major divisions of calculus, one thing is common: both deal with a change of a function or quantity. Thus we can quickly define calculus as the branch of mathematics which deals with continuously changing quantities or functions, with an attempt to predict what value such function or quantity will assume in its next change.
